Where was projector invented?

The first projector was made by John Logie Baird in the 1920s and could only show a live image from its own television set. So, the first working projection system that allowed for projecting onto a screen was invented in 1966 by engineer named Ivan Owen. It could project videos of different scales up to one hundred inches and had two motors to create fast or slow-motion effects.

In 2002, DLP technology was developed by Texas Instruments and Digital Projection Inc. The DLP projector technology, allows for images to be produced in millions of colors. In the next few years, Texas Instruments will produce a chip that can project an image with up to 16 million colors. This chip, known as the TMS320VC550 DLP Cinema Chip, is capable of producing 4K (ultra high-definition) films. It was invented in 2000 at TMS320 Laboratories, which is a subsidiary of Texas Instrument s and operates under Verisilicon Holdings Inc.

The DLP technology is used for projectors required to display images at the standard Hollywood motion picture quality level of 2048 by 1080 pixels. However, these are not available for home use; instead, home users will have to wait until 2014 when they are available as a product. The chip is also used in super wide-screen televisions and high-definition television set-top boxes used in cable television systems.

Other companies such as Sony have developed their own chips that can create images with sixteen million colors. They are being developed under the name of SXRD technology and are capable of producing five million shades of red, green and blue on a screen with five million pixels. Invention of Projectors

Many people are surprised to learn that projectors have been around since the 1920s. Originally, they were used within auditoriums and theaters and could dimly project images onto a wall or screen. This technology became available in the home as well in a smaller form in 1950 with the invention of "Freestyle" projectors by General Electric. The term "home theater" was probably not coined until 2001 when it became popularized by DLP televisions with built-in speakers. Since then, a number of other companies have begun manufacturing projectors with built-in speakers. In many ways, home projectors are similar to their big brother, computer monitors in that they both use LCD (liquid crystal display) technology. Unlike computer monitors however, projectors do not have the ability to be used for viewing Internet websites.

A projector is essentially a device that converts images into electrical signals and turns them back into images you can see on your screen whether it be a television set or movie screen. It projects those signals directly onto a surface using lenses or light emitting diode lights.

The display models of projectors come in three types. The rear projection types use a lamp that projects the image through a mirror and onto a projection screen. Front and side-rear projectors use LCD panels in the projector itself to display the image, which is then projected onto your screen.

Projectors are installed in schools to give presentations or show videos and pictures to large groups of people. This is how many teachers today present information to their students instead of from behind their desks. They are also used by businesses such as travel agencies when they want to show pictures for example, of hotels or places their customers can travel to on vacation.
